I first met Omar over Zoom as my MCAT tutor, and almost immediately, I could tell that he was someone who genuinely cared about the person behind the student. He quickly became more like an older brother and friend than a tutor or professor, breaking down the usual barriers and making me feel completely comfortable being honest about where I was struggling. Because he took the time to really get to know me, my circumstances, and my weaknesses, he was able to tailor his teaching in a way that made an enormous difference for me. Despite being busy as a medical student, he would even spend time outside of our sessions researching questions we had come across, and we would often start our next session by talking through what he had found. I feel incredibly fortunate to now call Omar a friend, and anyone who has the opportunity to work with him will immediately recognize how genuinely bright, thoughtful, and special he is.
